About
Who Was Itzhak Bentov?
Itzhak Bentov was an inventor, engineer, and consciousness researcher. Born in what is now Czech Republic and later living in Israel and the United States, he held several patents for medical devices including early catheter technology
Alongside engineering, he pursued deep questions:
- What is consciousness?
- Is the universe alive?
- Can meditation reveal the structure of reality?
Bentov developed models suggesting that:
- the universe is self-aware
- matter is vibrating consciousness
- human awareness can access higher levels through resonance
He died in the 1979 American Airlines Flight 191 crash but his ideas continue influencing thinkers in meditation, physics speculation, web development and consciousness studies
“Reality is an illusion, but a very persistent one.”
Ideas inspired by his famous drawings of:
- the breathing universe
- toroidal consciousness fields
- human body resonance
