Our Story: Building Markket.place with Artists in Mind
This community is born from a passion for creativity and a desire to empower artists and small business owners by making technology accessible, affordable, and engineer-driven.
Our co-founder, David Silva, is an artist from Colombia with a strong background in tech and over a decade of experience in healthcare and marketplace startups. After years of working in the tech space, while also staying active in artist communities in the Bay Area and New York, David saw firsthand how challenging it can be for artists to balance their creative pursuits with the challenges of modern life.
We are going to change that. Markket.place is designed to give artists and creators the digital tools they need to launch their websites, manage newsletters, sell products, and handle back-office tasks.

As artists and builders, we know the importance of accessible technology and transparent pricing. That’s why our partnership with DigitalOcean for hosting, Stripe for seamless payments, and Twilio for reliable communication will allow us to keep costs fair and maintain a community-centered approach.
